Fastly ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information (Optional)

During onboarding, you may optionally provide:

Name
Age
Gender
Height and weight
Target weight

This data is stored locally on your device using encryption and is never transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Health Data

With your explicit permission, Fastly may read and write the following HealthKit data:

Read: Body mass (weight)
Write: Dietary water intake, fasting session records

Health data is processed locally on your device and is never sent to external servers.

1.3 Usage Data

We collect the following usage data stored locally on your device:

Fasting session history (start time, end time, duration)
Streak information
Nutrition entries (food name, calories, macronutrients)
Weight entries
Mood and energy ratings
App settings and preferences

1.4 Community Data

If you use the Community feature, the following data is sent to our servers:

Display name (you choose what to share)
Post content (achievements, tips)
Fasting plan type
Streak count
Cheers (likes) given to other posts

1.5 Camera Access

Fastly uses your camera solely for barcode scanning to look up food nutritional information. Camera data is processed in real-time and is never stored or transmitted.

1.6 AI Coach

When you use the AI Coach feature, your questions are sent to our secure server (Cloudflare Workers) which forwards them to OpenAI's API for processing. We do not store your conversations.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize fasting tracking functionality
To calculate nutritional information and BMI
To recommend fasting plans based on your goals and progress
To sync fasting data with Apple Health (with your permission)
To enable community features (sharing achievements)
To provide AI-powered coaching responses
To process in-app purchases

3. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: Most data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework with encryption for sensitive fields.
Cloud Storage: Community posts are stored on Cloudflare D1 database (edge computing, encrypted at rest).
No Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
No Advertising: We do not display ads or share data with advertisers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only in these cases:

Community Posts: Content you voluntarily share in the Community section is visible to other users.
AI Processing: AI Coach queries are processed by OpenAI. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Payment Processing: In-app purchases are handled by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access: View all data stored in the app
Delete: Delete your account and all local data by uninstalling the app
Revoke: Revoke HealthKit access at any time via iOS Settings
Opt-out: Decline to provide optional personal information
Community: Request deletion of your community posts by contacting us

6. Children's Privacy

Fastly is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
